Pondoland Bioblitz

Pondoland (Eastern Cape) - The wildcoast shoreline of marine protected area is characterised by rocky shores backed by vegetation types includes subtropical thicket, which is an endemic vegetation type, forest and grassland (centre of plant diversity - second richest floristic region in Africa). The marine protected area protects a rich diversity of marine fish including the heavily overexploited linefish species such as scotsman, yellowbelly rockcod, black musselcracker, red steenbras, and many others.
