Springfield Lakes Nature Care (SLNC) is hosting a "5 on Friday" as part of the Great Southern Bioblitz #GSBioblitz. Please bring your smartphone & upload the free iNaturalist app before you come.

We will meet at the BBQ shelter 9 Teenager Park on Waterside Drive, Springfield Lakes to do some daylight flora & bird observations at Regatta Reserve. It will be a fun activity for children & adults to find & photograph 5 items & upload them to the Ipswich Great Southern Bioblitz project.

SLNC will provide a light refreshments of cold drinks & pizza beside the lake.  Afterwards, we will take a leisurely walk into White Rock Spring Mountain Conservation Reserve to be in position to watch the Squirrel Gliders leave their nest box. We will walk along the 800 metre Spotted Gum trail to observe nocturnal animals, such as frogs, ring & brush-tailed possums, Red-necked Swamp Wallabies or Tawny Frog Mouths.
