The first day of the Central Namib Bioblitz brought students from the Swakopmund Secondary School and Westside High School to Gobabeb, to learn about the biodiversity of the Namib Desert.
Led by Nelao Hauulu, Kapandu Shihepo, and Brave Mukena, the students went down to the Kuiseb River, brought back specimens, and learned the species names. Overall, an excellent start to the Central Namib Bioblitz (part of the Great Southern Bioblitz).
