šŸŒ Join the GSB ID Challenge! šŸŒæšŸ”

While many of us are out enjoying field season instead of sitting behind our computers doing IDs šŸ˜… … there’s still a huge number of observations from previous year’s Great Southern Bioblitz waiting to be identified. It would be great if we could reduce this number.

It’s almost a year since #GSB2024 — so let’s mark the anniversary with a friendly ID Challenge!

The goal: see how many observations we can get identified (especially those currently ā€œunknownā€) before #GSB2025 kicks off.

We’ll share progress updates and give shout-outs to our ID Heroes šŸ¦øā€ā™€ļøšŸ¦øā€ā™‚ļø along the way.

šŸ’” Tip: Even moving an ā€œunknownā€ to a broad category like ā€œplants,ā€ ā€œinsects,ā€ or ā€œbirdsā€ makes it easier for specialists to pick it up later. Every little step counts!

Let’s work together across Oceania, Africa, and South America and see how many unknowns we can unlock before #GSB2025.
